Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to my blog! Of course if we were visiting in person, I'd have the teapot out and we could sit and chat.
I'm honored you stopped by to listen to my thoughts and ponderings - and if you have a minute sometime, let me know you dropped by!

You can also find me on Facebook at Grace Notes, Thoughts and Prayers.

I'd love to hear from you.

Floating

It was hard to say goodbye to the pool today. An oasis in the Arizona warmth where we have played and rested these last two weeks.

I love salt water pools and I have swam to my hearts content. Chlorine and I don't get along, so I don't swim at home like I would like to.

So I soaked it in. Literally. The sun, the warm water. And one of my favourite things each day was just to float. I have not done that in years.

It is a liberating thing. To just trust the water to hold you, to completely relax. I closed my eyes and rested. I opened them and searched the sky. Sometimes there were birds floating on their own blanket of air. Sometimes the sky was as blue as blue could be and I pondered the largeness of our atmosphere, the heavens and what they hold.

We recently watched an excellent video called "Indescribable", with Louie Giglio, who describes our solar system with fascinating detail. The video left me in awe of the Creator, of the largeness of his handiwork, the incredible detail and depth, and magnitude of creation. It is immeasurable.  (This is a video well worth watching).

The wonder of it all is that This Creator cares about me!  Today as I floated on my bed of water, a small speck on the earth, I gazed at the wisps of clouds, swirling formations, ever changing. I was sure I saw a heart. I drank it in.

To float requires trust. And letting go. Complete rest. What a lovely gift.

Rest

Words
I've not had many lately.
Emptied out.

Sometimes there are no words.

Sifting through life
Pondering
Examining the pieces.

It is good
To
Slow
Down.

To jump off the frenzied path
Of doing

It is a temporary
Pause

A reboot if you will.

Sometimes
There are too many words
Too much thinking
Sorting out
Opinions and ideologies
An idealistic mindset
That never satisfies.

Oh just to be
At peace

With silence
With knowing
That God is enough.

I breathe it in.

Rest.
